We are Romana Moser and Filippo “Sketchy” Buzzini, two visual practitioners who have spent a rather unreasonable amount of time thinking about, drawing, practising, teaching and playing with letters.Our lettering journeys come from different places.Romana has been working with letters for years, exploring handlettering, calligraphy, typography and visualisation. She has taught lettering and visualisation to professionals and has a particular talent for turning the apparently complicated into something that feels surprisingly doable.Filippo, comes from the world of graphic recording and visual facilitation, where letters have to work fast, large, clearly and in front of other people. Over the years, lettering has become one of his favourite tools — and one of the things he loves experimenting with, teaching and pushing beyond the obvious.We've spent years figuring out why letters work — and how to make them work when you're using them in real life: on a big sheet of paper, on a blackboard, in a meeting, in a workshop, under time pressure, with a marker in your hand and a room full of people watching.We each have our own styles, tricks and obsessions.And that's exactly why we thought it would be fun to teach this together.We'll show you the rules, help you understand them, and encourage you to bend them.We'll bring the experience.
